Star Crushed Minerals First Impression Review

**Sent for review purposes. See bottom for full disclosure**

Hi guys!
First off I'd like to apologize for slacking on blogging, things have been hectic lately with the main bathroom in our house being remodeld (sp?).
But anyways that is not what I am here to talk to you about today. Today I have swatches and a first impression review of some shadows from the company Star Crushed Minerals. Star Crushed Minerals is a fairly new company (I think) ran by an awesome lady named Edie. She was sweet enough to send me some sample shadows to review for y'all.
Now I didn't tell her what colors to send me or anything and may I just say that she must have read my mind, because she sent me lots of purple shades and I don't know if y'all know this but purple shadows are one of my favorite colors! She also sent along some awesome pink and green shades along with her eye primer. But enough of just telling you, because I know what y'all are here for and thats to see the colors! haha!
So first up is a picture of what the jars look like, now I got samples but I have to say that I absolutely love that Edie uses sample jars instead of putting them in baggies. I don't know about y'all but I absolutely hate sample baggies. They make to much of a mess everywhere!

This is what the tops of all the jars look like, except for the primer, which I will show in a second. They all have a clear sticker label on top with Star Crused Mineral printed on it. Now dummy me, I forgot to take a picture of what the bottom label looks like. but on the bottom lable, it is again clear with the shadow name, ingrediants, name of the company, where it was made, and how much product is in it (1g) printed in black on it.

Now here is what the primer looks like:
 (top)

(Bottom)

This primer is white in the pot, but applies clear. It has a very kinda odd consistency, it is like a cross between a mousse and a cream. Also it can feel a tad gritty, but that disappears when you blend it in. Now I can't say anything yet about the lasting power of this primer, as I haven't tested it out that much yet, but I will be doing a review on it in the near future. :)

Now it is finally time to show you the gorgeous shadows! I will warn you now, I had some difficulty capturing the gorgeousness of these with hand swatches. I'm hoping that when I use them on the eyes, I will be able to get better shots of the colors.
All swatches are done over the Star Crushed Eyesahdow Primer.

First up is the pinks and purples.

(Left to Right and Top to Bottom: No. 52 Perfectly Peach, No. 95 Delphinium Pink, No. 11 Starry Pink, No. 14 Grape Shimmer, No. 77 Royal Purple, and No. 101 Purple Reign)

So as you might be able to tell from the list above, Eddie not only has the eyeshados named but also numbered.

Perfectly Peach is just that a really pretty peachy/nude color with a nice satin sheen to it. I can see myself wearing it all the time as a quick wash of color all over the lid as well as paired with other colors.
Delphinium Pink is a pink with a like slight lavender/blue shimmer to it. Really soft and I can see myself using it as an unusual inner corner highlight.
Starry Pink is a lovely deep rosey mauve pink. It has a satin sheen that almost loos alittle gold to me.
Grape Shimmer is a pale grape purple color with a silvery blue shimmer to it.
Royal Purple is a gorgeous matte reddish purple shade with some awesome gold/green glitter in it. The glitter was hard to see in the pictures, but in this one you can kinda see the hints of glitter. This is one of my favorite shades that I was sent and I can't wait to use it in a look.
Purple Reign is such an interesting color. Its a really dark purple/blue color with an amazing forest green shift to it. Its freaking amazing! This has to be like my favorite color out of all the ones she sent me. I can't wait to do a purple smokey eye with this puppy, and use it wet as an eyeliner!

Next up is the greens:

(L-R: No. 28 Pear, No. 111 Apple Martini.
Bottom: No. 92 Deep Aqua Gold)

Pear is a bright apple green satin.
Apple Martini is a matte medium green with a bunch of gold glitter in it. Its absolutely stunning.
Deep Aqua Gold is a really deep forest green with blue undertones and a faint gold sheen depending on the light.

All the eyeshadows have a really smooth texture, and are very pigmented. None applied patchy and overall I am quite impressed with these. I can't wait to make some looks with them and to eventually buy the full sizes of some of these and I have my eyes on some of her other colors as well!

I hope y'all enjoyed this and if you'd like to see any specific colors paired together please let me know and I'll do my best to make that happen!!

Much love,
Tricia
