Star Crushed Minerals First Impression Review

**Sent for review purposes. See bottom for full disclosure**

Hi guys!
First off I'd like to apologize for slacking on blogging, things have been hectic lately with the main bathroom in our house being remodeld (sp?).
But anyways that is not what I am here to talk to you about today. Today I have swatches and a first impression review of some shadows from the company Star Crushed Minerals. Star Crushed Minerals is a fairly new company (I think) ran by an awesome lady named Edie. She was sweet enough to send me some sample shadows to review for y'all.
Now I didn't tell her what colors to send me or anything and may I just say that she must have read my mind, because she sent me lots of purple shades and I don't know if y'all know this but purple shadows are one of my favorite colors! She also sent along some awesome pink and green shades along with her eye primer. But enough of just telling you, because I know what y'all are here for and thats to see the colors! haha!
So first up is a picture of what the jars look like, now I got samples but I have to say that I absolutely love that Edie uses sample jars instead of putting them in baggies. I don't know about y'all but I absolutely hate sample baggies. They make to much of a mess everywhere!

This is what the tops of all the jars look like, except for the primer, which I will show in a second. They all have a clear sticker label on top with Star Crused Mineral printed on it. Now dummy me, I forgot to take a picture of what the bottom label looks like. but on the bottom lable, it is again clear with the shadow name, ingrediants, name of the company, where it was made, and how much product is in it (1g) printed in black on it.

Now here is what the primer looks like:
 (top)

(Bottom)

This primer is white in the pot, but applies clear. It has a very kinda odd consistency, it is like a cross between a mousse and a cream. Also it can feel a tad gritty, but that disappears when you blend it in. Now I can't say anything yet about the lasting power of this primer, as I haven't tested it out that much yet, but I will be doing a review on it in the near future. :)

Now it is finally time to show you the gorgeous shadows! I will warn you now, I had some difficulty capturing the gorgeousness of these with hand swatches. I'm hoping that when I use them on the eyes, I will be able to get better shots of the colors.
All swatches are done over the Star Crushed Eyesahdow Primer.

First up is the pinks and purples.

(Left to Right and Top to Bottom: No. 52 Perfectly Peach, No. 95 Delphinium Pink, No. 11 Starry Pink, No. 14 Grape Shimmer, No. 77 Royal Purple, and No. 101 Purple Reign)

So as you might be able to tell from the list above, Eddie not only has the eyeshados named but also numbered.

Perfectly Peach is just that a really pretty peachy/nude color with a nice satin sheen to it. I can see myself wearing it all the time as a quick wash of color all over the lid as well as paired with other colors.
Delphinium Pink is a pink with a like slight lavender/blue shimmer to it. Really soft and I can see myself using it as an unusual inner corner highlight.
Starry Pink is a lovely deep rosey mauve pink. It has a satin sheen that almost loos alittle gold to me.
Grape Shimmer is a pale grape purple color with a silvery blue shimmer to it.
Royal Purple is a gorgeous matte reddish purple shade with some awesome gold/green glitter in it. The glitter was hard to see in the pictures, but in this one you can kinda see the hints of glitter. This is one of my favorite shades that I was sent and I can't wait to use it in a look.
Purple Reign is such an interesting color. Its a really dark purple/blue color with an amazing forest green shift to it. Its freaking amazing! This has to be like my favorite color out of all the ones she sent me. I can't wait to do a purple smokey eye with this puppy, and use it wet as an eyeliner!

Next up is the greens:

(L-R: No. 28 Pear, No. 111 Apple Martini.
Bottom: No. 92 Deep Aqua Gold)

Pear is a bright apple green satin.
Apple Martini is a matte medium green with a bunch of gold glitter in it. Its absolutely stunning.
Deep Aqua Gold is a really deep forest green with blue undertones and a faint gold sheen depending on the light.

All the eyeshadows have a really smooth texture, and are very pigmented. None applied patchy and overall I am quite impressed with these. I can't wait to make some looks with them and to eventually buy the full sizes of some of these and I have my eyes on some of her other colors as well!

I hope y'all enjoyed this and if you'd like to see any specific colors paired together please let me know and I'll do my best to make that happen!!

Don't forget to stop by and check out Star Crushed Minerals on etsy and facebook!

Much love,
Tricia

Hello There Again!

Hi guys!!
Let me start this off by sayin that I am SO sorry that I have lacked on posting here on my blog. Life has decided again to get in the way. Like always. Hah.
For that I am sorry. I  miss blogging, and I miss doing youtube videos. But I am planning on starting again!
I've fallen into a bad funk for the past year due to lots of things. Sometimes life can do that. So I'm sorry for that. But I do plan on very soon starting to do more posts on here, on faceboo and on my youtube channel. I'm going to start getting back into my passion. I really miss it and am sorry that I let outside things influence how and what I have been doing.
I don't have a set schedual yet because I have a few things that I need to work out, as I'm trying to get a job and get my GED. But I am going to start back up on everything. Especially now that other things have settled down some.
That and well, I realized lately that life can be way to short to let things draw you away from your passion. You never know how much time you really have, so do what you love and be who you are and let your passion and personality glitter all over. :)
I'm even going to start doing fashion things and nail stuff.
How does that sound? Also, to ease myself back into things, what kinda look/tutorials/tags would y'all like to see?? I need some ideas to get back into this. Lol.

I really hope y'all are doing well, and please leave your feedback for me here.

I love you all. And thanks to those who have stuck by me. <3

Much Much Love,
Tricia

Hi guys

Hey all.
I just wanted to come on really quick before I go to bed and say that I am really sorry for not blogging as much as I should. :(
I've failed so bad at it, and at making YouTube videos, and for both of those things I apologize. Life just sometimes really decides to turn everything upside down, and screw with you.
But, I am going to to my best to start doing more blog posts, and youtube videos. I'm even going to try and set up a schedual. It will probably be minimal, and slow to start off with, but I'm going to try. Starting tomorrow.
So, if you have any suggestions for blog posts, and/or YouTube videos that you would like to see, wether they be tags, makeup look, or product reviews, please put them in the comments below.

Thank you to those of you who have stuck by me. I love and appreciate you all.

Much love,
Tricia

Cuticle Charm by Blooddrop Fineries Review!

This product was sent to me for review purposes. (See bottom of post for full disclaimer)

Hey guys!
Todays review is again brought to you by The Rhinestone Housewife! (http://www.therhinestonehousewife.com/)

This is a review of Cuticle Charm by Blooddrop Fineries.
Here is what it looks like:

Cuticle Charm is a lovely cuticle balm! It comes in a lovely cute little tin, with a sliding top to it. Cuticle charm is a pretty basic cuticle balm, but what I love about this is that it is SO moisturizing! I use it anytime my hands have been in lots of water, after everytime I wash my hands, and in the morning and right before bed. It will make even the most dryed out cuticles look amazing. With continued use it also keeps them looking that way. Plus it makes your nails SO shiny looking, literally it will look like you just buffed your nails for like ten minutes. I love that about this cuticle balm. You can also use it on really dry areas like heels, knees, and elbows. Which I think is pretty awesome. Alittle bit of this also goes a long way. I've had this for probably two weeks, and have not made a dent in it yet, thats how little you need of this for it to work so well. Cuticle Charm also has a lovely scent to it, its a VERY subtle orange vanilla scent which I think is just lovely.
I am absolutely in love with this, and highly recommend it. Cuticle Charm has totally replaced my old favorite cutle cream from Burt's Bees.

So that is my review of Cuticle Charm!!! I hope you enjoyed that and please check out The Rhinestone Housewife! She seriously has so many amazing products from quite a few brands there! Even some exclusive ones. :)

Much love,
Tricia

Hi all you lovely people!!
I hope you are all having a great day today. :)
My day has been full of errands, and people staring at me. LOL. Always happens when I wear bright makeup, its like people think I'm an alien or something. *shrugs* Just makes me strut my stuff even more.
Man I have missed wearing bright color, and with the hot weather we have been having here in the North Bay, it just felt fitting.
This look was inspired by Vintage Or Tacky's look that she did last week called Spead Freak. I fell in love with the colors and just everything about the look and immediatly said in my head "next time you wear makeup, THAT is what you are gonna wear". Lo and behold I did just that.
I hope y'all enjoy this uber bright full face look. Sorry if the backs of my cheeks look alil weird, I tried bronzing today...dunno if I like it or not...not even sure I did it quite right. LOL.

Chocolate Coconut Sugar Whipped Soap by Naiad Soap Arts Review

This product was sent to me for review purposes. (see full disclaimer at the bottom of the post)

Hi lovely peoples!
Today I have another review brought to you by The Rhinestone Housewife! (http://www.therhinestonehousewife.com/)

Todays review is of the Chocolate Coconut Sugar Whipped Soap by Naiad Soap Arts.
This is what it looks like:

This is a whipped soap with an added bonus, it has some sugar in it to exfoliate! This soap has a lovely thick whipped texture to it, and creates an awesome lather. I use it with a buff pouf, and I only need about a tablespoons amount to clean my entire body. This is great for everyday and leaves your skin silky smooth, and very soft. I love that it has some added sugar to it so that it doubles as an exfoliator for the body, and not just a soap, I feel that adds alot into getting you to feel cleaner. To me this is gentle enough for daily use unlike alot of just straight up sugar or salt scrubs for the body. As for the scent, this seriously smells amazing! Its not a complex scent, but amazing just the same, you can really smell the chocolate and the coconut, but its not overpowering or to sickly sweet either. Its perfect. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes whipped soap, or who want a nice gentle daily soap/exfoliator combo!

So that is my review of this lovely soap. :) I hope you all enjoyed!! Be sure to check out The Rhinestone Housewife!!

KmS Mineral Essentials Mineral Foundation Review.

This product was sent to me for review purposes. (see bottom of post for full disclosure)

Hi guys.
So I'm not gonna lie here...I have been putting this review off for a long time. I hate doing negative reviews. Though in reality this one isn't totally negative. I did find a use for this product that makes it work alright for me, but it sadly didn't work for me as it was supposed to...but enough of that lets get into what I'm talking about here.

Todays review is of the KmS Mineral Essentials mineral foundation. This is a loose mineral foundation. The texture of it is a very finly milled powder. I am in the color porcelin. It is a very fair shade with neutral undertones. Now I love the way the color matches me, but I had some very unexpected problems with this foundation, most mineral foundations that I have tried blend into the skin and make it look flawless, this one literally sat on top of my skin and looked like I had just dumped powder on my face. My 8 year old niece even asked me if I had put powder on my face when I first put it on...that is a huge draw back for me, when I wear a mineral foundation I want it to look like skin, but covered. That draws me to my next issue with this, its supposed to be a high coverage mineral foundation, and I found no matter how much I used, it didn't cover any of my redness on my skin, again when I wear mineral foundation I want it to cover, doesn't have to cover 100% but I feel it should cover some of it at least, and this didn't.
So after I tried it that first day, I just put it off to the side for a few days. I was so disappointed. But a few days later, I decided to try and figure a different way to use it, so I tired it as a setting powder that would give me some extra coverage over my skin79 oriental gold bb cream. Lo and behold, it actually worked for me better that way! gave me a great medium coverage on my skin for those days I don't want to wear as much makeup on my face. It still looked alittle powdery, but not as bad as when I used it straight on my skin. With alittle bit of fix plus sprayed on it looked pretty okay. For me it just works better as a setting powder than a mineral foundation.
Again I am sorry for not having any pictures, but I was so frustrated I forgot to take some. :(

So there is my review of the KmS Mineral Essentials Foundation.

Much Love,
Tricia

Orange Thyme Clementine Cupcake Perfume Oil Review

This was sent to me for review purposes. See bottom of post for full disclosure.

Hi guys!
I have another review for you today!! Today I am reviewing another product that was sent to me by The Rhinestone Housewife (http://www.therhinestonehousewife.com/)
This one is a perfume oil by the brand Orange Thyme. It is called Clementine Cupcake. This is what it looks like:

This scent comes in a rollerball with a very nicely done lable on it.
Now as for the scent, as you can probably tell its supposed to be a sweet scent as it has cupcake in it. Let me tell you, this scent delivers on its name! Its a VERY realistic cupcake scent with some orange notes to it. When I first put it on, you can really smell the clementine mixed with the cupcake smell, but after about 10-20 minutes, the clementine completely disappears on me and I'm just left smelling like I'm a freshly baked cupcake. Now, I do like sweet scents myself, and kinda like this one, but it can be very overpowering, and in all honesty is even alittle to sweet for my tastes. I wish that the clementine would last longer with the scent, I think if it did I'd like this scent a whole lot more.
As for lasting power, on me it lasts about 4-6 hours before I feel a need to reapply, which for a perfume oil is alittle weird for me, usually perfume oils last all day on me. But with it being in a roller ball form, its quite easy to take in your purse with you to reapply which is what I have done when wearing this scent. I haven't experianced any leaking problems with it yet, and its so well made I doubt I will.

So that is my review of the Clementine Cupcake perfume oil by Orange Thyme!

Please be sure to check out The Rhinestone Housewife (link above in post). The owner is really sweet, and they have A LOT of awesome products!

Hope you enjoyed!

Pink Cupcake Shaving Soap Review

This was sent to me for review purpouses. See bottom of post for full disclaimer.

Hi lovely people!!!
Long time no see I know. I've been extremely busy lately with life. Haha. But I am here today with a review for you. (and I will be having many more reviews up for you soon!)

Today I am reviewing the Pink Cupcake Shaving Soap by Rachel Rene Bath and Body. Now before I really get into the review, I want to say that I was scent this from a different website/person. I was sent this from a lovely lady who runs http://www.therhinestonehousewife.com/. Now on her website she sells alot of stuff from different brands. Some of which are exclusives. And I must say right off the bat that I absolutely love her website and enjoy having so many companies in one spot. I highly recommend checking it out!

Now on to this review of this particular product. Here is what the product looks like:

Looks like a pretty standard bar of soap right? Well let me just say this stuff is absolutely amazing!!!!! Like seriously I don't think I will ever buy a different shaving product again! This soap lathers up really well, and gives such amazing slip and glide (thanks to kaolin clay) to your shave without clogging up your razor. Thats one thing I can't stand about most shaving creams you can buy in the drugstore, they clog up the dang razor and then you can't get a close shave. Really can get irritating right? Its why I never used anything but a razor to shave with, until now. Now I will not shave unless I use this. It helps give such a close shave, and leaves your skin super smooth and soft. Also it can double as just a regular soap as well.
Now onto the scent, this smells like a straight up vanilla cupcake. No joke at all. But don't worry its not so strong that it will make you think you are baking a batch of cupcakes in your shower, its actually quite subtle, but very nice all the same. (She also makes this soap in other scents as well if you aren't a fan of cupcakes or vanilla.)

So I totally recommend this product with my whole heart. I know as soon as I run out of it, I will be buying it again and again!

So please go and check out the rhinestone housewife (link above) and if you buy anything please let me know what you think!!

I hope y'all enjoyed this review and stick around!

Beauty Blogger TAG! :D

Hey guys!
Sorry for lack of postage lately. Things are super cray cray for me right now. I keep meaning to do so many differrent blog posts that I have planned, but time always gets away from me. From just family issues, to the time change screwing with my sleeping habits, to job hunting, its just all crazyness right now!

So for that I am truely sorry and I swear I'm going to try and get better. But I thought to make up for it, at least for the moment, I'd do a tag that I saw over on my lovely friend Autty's blog. ( http://auttyw.blogspot.com) If you haven't heard of her, or checked her out, you should. :) She's buckets of awesomeness! <3

So with that lets get on to this tag!

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?

My hair is naturally very curly. Which I of course hate. I wish I had straight hair.

2. What is your natural hair colour?

A mousey medium brown color with lots of other colors in it.

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?

Depends on what I'm doing to it. If I'm going blonde or like a odd color, I'll go to the salon, but if its just brown or black I will do it my self.

4. How often do you wash your hair?

Honestly depends. Sometimes if I'm going lots of places, I'll do it everyday as I have short hair that I have to style. If I'm not going anywhere, I'll usually wash it about every other day sometimes less.

5. Do you wear the same style every day or change it?

As my hair is really short, I basicly wear it the same, tho lately I've been wanting to change it up, just I don't know how to. lol

6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?

96% of the time I'll do it myself.

7. How often to you change your nail polish?

HAH! Way to much, my nail polish chips easily so I do it every couple of days when I wear polish.

8. Do you polish your toes in the winter, too or just in the summer?

All depends on my mood, but most of the time I'll have them painted year round.

9. How long does it take to put on your makeup?

It all depends on what I'm doing or where I'm going. It can take me anywhere from about 10mins to over an hour.

10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?

Depends really, if I'm doing a SUPER simple look, I'll do the face first, but 99% of the time I do eyes first then face.

11. Do you "collect" makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?

I guess you could say I collect it, but I've gotten better about mainly buying stuff when I need it.

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?

Not that often, mainly on special occasions.

13. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?

No, but when I do my makeup, I always do a full face.

14. Do you wear makeup when you are home alone (or with family)?

Sometimes.

15. Will you leave the house without makeup?

Yes, I do it quite frequently.

16. How many high end products do you have?

Uhm....I don't know in all honesty.

17. How often do you wash your makeup brushes?

Not enough as I should. I don't deep clean often, but I do spot clean my brushes alot.

18. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you are getting dressed?

Depends on my mood, sometimes the night before, sometimes as I'm getting dressed.

19. How often do you change your handbag?

Not that often.

20. What time do you get up & go to sleep?

HAH! That varies from day to day. Sometimes I'll be in bed by 8pm, sometimes it'll be  1-3am, and sometimes somewhere inbetween those. And as for getting up, 96% of the time its between 5-7:30 in the morning no matter what time I go to bed. (gotta love having kids in the house)

21. How often & when do you workout?

HAH!

22. Left-handed or Right-handed?

Left. :)

23. How tall are you?

I'm about 5'1". Yes I'm that short. >.>

24. Do you speak a foreign language?

Nope, not really.

25. How many pets do you have?

Two, one dog and one cat. Neither are mine, but they live in the same house as I do.

26. How often are you on Blogger?

About once a day

27. Do you read the comments posted on blogs?

Not really.

28. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?

Nope.

29. How did you come up with your blog name?

Uhm, good question, I think a friend helped me out with it.

30. What kind of camera do you use for photographs?

*runs to go look* Sony Cybershot that I got a couple years ago.

31. How often do you clean your house? (Daily, weekly, other)

Certain things are daily, others are weekly.

32. What is your favorite colour?

I have way to many, but a few are purple, mint, coral, black, and turquoise.

33. What is your favorite beauty/fashion magazine?

People Stylewatch, and I think its allure.

34. Do you swear?

Not gonna lie, yes I do.

35. What are you doing with the rest of your day?

As it is almost ten thirty here at night, I'm going to go and watch youtube videos, and then go to bed. :)

I hope you all enjoyed this! I tag any of you who want to do it! :)
Also if you'd like to see more of these kinda posts let me know and post some you'd like to see in the comments!

Much love,
Tricia

question question

Hi guys!
So, I have a quick question...or well two quick questions for y'all.
First one is, do you guys like to see monthly or weekly favorites? I'm wondering because I'm gonna start doing favorite posts up on here, but dunno if it would be better to do a monthly one, or a weekly one, most of the time, products may not change much....so yeah, let me know! haha.

Also, for those of you with sensitive skin out there, or just for those of you out there who like cleansing oils, what is a good cheap one??? I've used the origins one and LOVED it, but sadly finally ran out and can't really afford the $$$ to buy a new one. :( So I'm now on the hunt for one thats just as good, but cheaper. Sadly most makeup removers, tend to burn my eyes, or just not leave my skin feeling clean at all, even after cleansing. :(

Much Love,
Tricia

babble babble

Hey all you lovely people!
Today I have a bit of a babble post. haha. I'm sorry for the lack of posting, and whatnot recently. I have some awesome stuff planned to post...but I got sick, twice in a row. :( So I have not been up to posting much of anything at all. So for that I'm sorry. BUT as soon as I can get over this cold, I will be doing more FOTD's, EOTD's, and reviews.
But in the mean time I thought I'd come on here and chit chat with you guys. :) I hope you don't mind haha.
So, how are y'all doing? lol
I was wondering lately what inspires you? Like what kinda things do you take inspiration from when you do your makeup? I've been in quite the rut lately when it comes to makeup, which is very dissapointing.
Also, do any of y'all like contests on facebook? Or well makeup contests period? Once I can get some money, I'm kinda wanting to either host a contest or a giveaway...but dunno what y'all like, or what kinda prizes y'all like.
So yeah, thats about it really for tonight, but I'd love to hear your guys opinions! So please don't be scared, go ahead and comment and tell me what y'all like!! :)

I hope you are all having a wonderful day/night or whatever it is where you are. For me its nightime, and I'm off to bed. Maybe by some miracle I'll wake up and not be sick anymore. LOL.

Much love!
Tricia

DIY Lip Scrub!

Hey lovely people!
I had posted up on my facebook a few days to a week ago saying that I found an awesome recipie for a lip scrub. So here it is finally! haha. Sorry for no pics, and this being up so late after I had talked about it but I've been sick and just wanting to sleep most of the time. D:
But anyways here is my recipie!

2 Tbs Sugar (I used white, but you could use brown)
1 Tbs Honey
1/2 Tsp + 3 additional drops Vitamin E oil

and that is IT! Super simple! You just stir it all together and bam lip scrubbie! :)
I use mine just about everynight before bed (I'm bad and sometimes forget to use it) and before I go to put any bright lipcolor on.
Usually when I know I'm going to be putting on a bright lipcolor I'll use the scrub before I even start putting my makeup on, and put some lip balm on so my lips are super soft, and smooth before I go applying lipcolor.
Also I put lip balm on right after I use the lip scrub anytime. :)

If you try this, or have any other cool DIY beauty secrets, let me know in the comments!

I hope you are all having a lovely evening or whatever it is wherever you are.

Much Love,
Tricia

ATTENTION!

Okay guys. So this morning a friend of mine linked me to this blog post...(http://attnbloggers.blogspot.com/2013/02/watch-out-for-this-girl.html). And I want to address what was written about me. I hate drama, and am not trying to cause it but to me it is important to defend myself and let y'all know the real truth. So here goes.

I want to say that what this person is saying is NOT true! Yes I enter giveaways, but I never expect to fucking win! I enter them, and share about them FOR FUN! Its always nice to win free stuff, am I right?
Also, as for me asking about tracking numbers, I ASK about that to make sure that you don't end up eating your money because of something getting lost, I've had packages lost in the mail before and I felt bad that whoever sent me that stuff lost both the money that it cost to buy those things, but also the money to ship it! THAT IS FUCKING ALL!

As for asking companies to send me stuff, I do not do that! Yes I have been offered to have stuff sent, or mentioned that I am willing to review stuff for people when they say that they are looking for someone to do so but I DO NOT FUCKING BEG FOR IT!

Also, I share the giveaways all the time because of the fact I know alot of people who, like me at this moment, DO NOT HAVE MONEY TO SPEND ON ANYTHING! I do it because I want to share the love, and give others a chance to win as well, to brighten their days!

I absolutely LOVE makeup and all things beauty, it is my passion. That is why I do stuff like this.

So to those of you who think that I don't care about anyone else but myself, please leave and don't bother coming back. I do not see why all of us in this beauty community must bash eachother! It is ridiculous to want to make someone feel like crap. I DO NOT LIKE IT OR SUPPORT IT!
To those who think I am dishonest, or just looking for free shit, please quit it. That is not the case at all.

Also, if you do not like people sharing giveaways, or posting about them, or things of that sort, THEN DON'T POST FREE GIVEAWAYS!

I think all this drama is ridiculous. WE ARE ALL HERE TO HAVE FUN, LEARN, AND BECOME BETTER AT THINGS WE LOVE!

SO to anyone who doesn't like me, doesn't like what I do, or what I post, then stop reading/liking/or talking to me! I DO NOT CARE! I know plenty of people who will still stick around with me. And those are my true friends.

So please, read this, and do what you want. I will keep doing what I am doing.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Mary Kay First Impressions/Review

Hi everyone!
So today I have for you a review of some Mary Kay products that I won in that giveaway I mentioned a while ago. I recieved 2 eyeshadows, 1 lip gloss, 1 lipstick, 1 eyeshadow brush, and 1 gel liner. :)

Up first are the eye shadows!

The brown shadow is called Chocolate Kiss, and is a really warm brown with a bronze type shimmer to it. The grey is called Polished Stone and is more pewter in color with some shimmer. Both are gorgeous, smooth and fairly pigmented.

Next up is the gel liner.

This gel liner is an amazingly pigmented teal color! Its so gorgeous, so matte, and SO creamy and smooth! Also just from the swatches on my hand I can tell that this is going to have awesome staying power. I had to scrub hard to get that above swatches off and even then my hand was stained. I love this and can't wait to play around with it. This liner makes me want to get more of the Mary Kay gel liners. Also it came with a really cute mini portable eyeliner brush that looks like it could be used as a lip brush as well. :)

Sadly I forgot to take a picture of the shadow brush, but its very soft, and fluffy. Just a basic shadow brush.

Next up is the lip gloss!

This is the Nourishine lip gloss in Cream&Sugar. This gloss is really sheer with alot of gold shimmer in it. Honestly not my favorite color on me, but will look great over some other lip colors I'd say. :) This gloss is smooth, with no detectable scent or taste to me and feels like it would be moisturizing on my lips. Also its not overly sticky either.

Lastly is the lipstick!!!

This is the Mary Kay Lip Suede in Plum, it is a lovely purple color with pink undertones. This is freaking amazing!!!! This lipstick has a bit of a shine to it and feels like it would be moisturizing as well.  This has to be one of my favorite purple lipsticks. You can either dab it on for sheer color or layer it for more intense color. LOVE this!

Overall I'm really impressed with these Mary Kay products that I've won. My overall favorites tho are the gel liner and suede lipstick. I want more of them in more colors!!!!
Have any of you tried Mary Kay? If so what do you like or not like?

I hope you all enjoyed and are having a great night or whatever it is where you are.

Much love,
Tricia

OCC Lip Tar First Impressions/Review

Hey guys!
So today the two remaining packages from the one giveaway I told y'all about came in! In one package were 3 OCC lip tars!!!! (I'll do a separate post soon about the other package)
I'm super excited to get to finally try these out, I've always wanted to try the OCC lip tars but never had the money or in all honesty, when I did, felt like they were quite pricey and couldn't find a reason to splurge on them. Now tho that I have tried them....lets just say I deffinatly am going to get more as soon as I have the money to!

With that lets get onto pics and swatches. :)

I won 3 lip tars in the colors (as in the pic above from left to right) Pennyroyal, Queen, and NSFW. They all came with a little mini OCC lip brush which is awesome!

First up is Pennyroyal, this is a really nice medium chocolate brown color with a little peachiness. Its alil dark on me but I bet will be awesome to mix with the two other colors I have. (If I do that I will let y'all know how it goes!)

Second up is Queen. Queen is a lovely bright neon pink with some coral/red tones to it. I am absolutely in LOVE with this color and can't wait to wear it out. :)

Last, but certaintly not least is NSFW. NSFW is a very classic slightly blue based red. Have to say this is one of my favorite reds I own!

Now on to the review part, sadly I just recieved these today and can't attest to the wear time, but they feel like they will last a long time, but what I can tell you is DANG these suckers are pigmented!!! You seriously only need a tinnnnnny drop to cover your lips. These also have a very slight minty smell/taste that I actually love. As you can tell in my pics above tho these do have a tendency to bleed very quickly (especially NSFW) so I recommend wearing a lip liner/primer with them. I already kinda knew from other reviews that this would be the case, but since I was just doing quick swatches, didn't bother with a liner (shoot me for being lazy) but I will use one when I wear them out. :) All three that I got are matte as well, they might have a slight sheen to them but not a glossy look at all, and once they totally dry they are matte.

My overall verdict is that I completely LOVE these and need more in my life of them. lol. I totally recommend them if you haven't tried them!

If you have what do you think? And what are your favorite colors?

Hope you enjoyed and are having a great night/day or whatever it is where you are.

Much love,
Tricia

The Balm Nude Tude Palette Review

Hey guys!!!
As promised here is my review today of the balm's nude tude eyeshadow palette!
I hope you all enjoy!

So this palette is yet another nude toned shadow palette, as the name implies. It is a pretty sturdy cardboard palette, it comes with a sleeve, nice size mirror, a dual tiped brush, and 12 shadows.
I find the palette to be surprisingly thin and lightweight for all that is in it, but I love it. It will be perfect for travel.
There are 4 matte shadows in this palette, which I find very nice, as in some palettes you either get none or only like 2.

Now on to swatches and color discriptions. :)

This is the top row of the palette.

Sassy is a satin white shadow.
Stubborn is a peachy satin.
Selfish is a is a frosted taupe color with a strong gold to it. Very pretty.
Sophisticated is a dark brown color with some bronze/gold shimmer.
Sexy is a lovely matte burgandy color
Serious is a matte black.

This is the bottom row of the palette. (sorry the lighting in this one sucks)

Snobby is a lovely yellow gold satin.
Stand-offish is semi similar to stubborn but alil more pink with some gold/bronze shimmer.
Sultry is a nice warm medium toned brown matte.
Seductive is a warm golden bronze color with a satin finish.
Silly is a gorgeous reddish brown base with awesome bronze shimmer in it. (sadly it didn't pick up on camera but I swear it is there!)
Sleek is a lovely matte dark brown.

Overall I really like this palette and can see some awesome looks being done with it in the near future.
I love how slim and lightweight it is for travel and all the shadows have great color payoff and are super smooth and buttery feeling.
This gets an A+ from me!!

If you'd like to see any specific looks using this palette, or certain colors from it please let me know in the comments! Also if you have this palette I'd love to hear what you think of it!

Much love!
Tricia

Update!

Hey guys!
I know that I keep saying I'm going to blog more...and I am! I swear it!
My blogging is going to get back on track starting tonight. :)
Last week I won a giveaway on facebook from a lovely lady on there names Susielicious.
I won a huge prizepack of a Nude Tude eyeshadow palette, 3 OCC lip tars, and a bunch of stuff from Mary Kay. The giveaway was sponsored by 3 lovely ladies whom I also follow on facebook. (will link at the end of blog post, and on each individual post I do reviewing the items I won)
So far only one thing has come in, which is the Nude Tude palette, and I will have a post up on that later today/tonight. :)
I'm super excited to be reviewing all of this amazing stuff I've won.
I've also won a couple other giveaways recently that as soon as those prizes come in I will be reviewing them as well!!! Plus during my hiatus from the blog for the past umpteen months, I've won some other things I will review as well.
And before anyone asks, no I'm not gloating about winning these giveaways. I enter giveaways and contests always expecting not to win as so many others enter them as well. I just want to post about the makeup I do get and give y'all my opinions. Especially since as of late, with everything going on in my life, I've not had money for new makeups, or even for stuff I might need. I enter these things for fun, that is purely all. So I hope that noone takes offence to me posting about these things. And if you do, then you don't have to keep reading my blog.
Oh, and I'm going to be trying to put makeup on more often than I do now, so I'm going to try and post at least one FOTD or EOTD a week.
If you guys have any critiques or things you like/don't like about my blog please feel free to comment, I'd love to hear your suggestions on how to improve. :)

So yes this was just a little update/what to expect post. My nieces and nephew will be home from school in a couple hours and I want to take time to get good pics before they get home, so be expecting that post later tonight!!!

I hope you are all well and having an amazing day/night/morning/afternoon or whatever it is where you are!
Don't foget to checkk out these awesome ladies!!!

Hey guys!
This is just a kinda chitty chat type post where I let y'all know whats been going on and/or ask y'all some questions!
First off I want to say that I am deeply sorry that I have still yet to start up my blog posting again. :(
Life got in the way yet again.
BUT I will be starting to post more hopefully monday.
I'm trying to figure out a blog schedual, and what to do posts on.
So that leads to my question: What would you guys like to see posts about???? You guys being my audience is the world to me, so I'd like to see what you guys are intersted in. Wether it be reviews, chit chat posts, me posting makeup looks, etc. I want to know what you guys would like to see!

I hope you are all having a lovely day, night, or whatever it is where you are.

Much love,

I'm Baaaaaaack!

Hey guys!
I know its been a long time no see type thing, but what can I say, life got in the way like it has a tendency to do!!
I haven't been up to much, just dealing with moving, and other situations.
But things seem to have settled down some.
So I'm going to be getting back into the grove of writing this blog!
I haven't had cash to buy lots of makeup or anything anymore, but I have won some giveaways and contests and whatnot, so I will have some reviews coming up here soon. :)

I would like to know tho what kinds of things you'd like to see here on my blog?

I hope you have all been doing well and I've missed you!!!!

xoxo
